This workshop will look at the current state of special education and how teachers can work to eliminate ableism in the classroom. The goal of special education is to meet the unique needs of students while providing access to the general education curriculum. Many educators want to provide support to struggling learners yet oftentimes create an environment that limits student success. This workshop will look at strategies to support all learners and provide insight as to how better serve special education students.
